Hans Christian Yachts are yachts built to the time-tested traditions of the sea. Hans Christian are the heirs of years of design effort going back to the original Dutch sailing "yachts" of the 16th century. Hans Christian Yachts manufacture a traditional range of Hans Christian Yachts was transferred from Andersen Yachts Ltd to Pantawee Marine Co., Ltd (www.pantaweemarine.com) in November 2004. Pantawee Marine Co., Ltd is the sole authorized builder of Hans Christian Yachts and is a wholly owned family boat building business established by New Zealand Boat builder Jack Hall and his wife in 1986. The yard is located near the resort town of Pattaya City on the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand. The company moved to a new, larger facility built on a 20,400m2 (204,000 ft2 approx.) site in late 2007. Production has resumed with the first stage of the new plant now in full operation and the second stage buildings due to come on line in 2009. Jack Hall managed Andersen Yachts Ltd from 1996 until 2004 and has vast experience in the manufacture of the Hans Christian range. Several key staff from the former yard continued with us to build the product they have come to know so well, in finite detail, from stem to stern. Marine Engineer Mr. Paul Back of the USA supervises all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and general systems installations. Pantawee Marine Co., Ltd now only builds the Traditional 41 and Traditional 48 only. Unfortunately, the other HC models had to be discontinued due to the moulds aging beyond the possibility of reasonable repair. Specifications for the respective models remain virtually the same and prospective owners can expect the same workmanship and quality that has been handed down over the years from the original builders who created these unique vessels.
